RESEARCH
PHOTOACTIVE IRIDIUM COMPLEXES
Our research involves the synthesis and investigation of tris-cyclometalated iridium complexes, which are versatile compounds with number of potential applications. We are interested in utilizing them for cellular imaging, optical sensing, and photoredox catalysis.
BIOCATALYSIS
Enzymes are superb catalysts providing interesting solutions for chemical problems. We are interested in their use for modifications of various natural products (e.g. capsaicin, vegetable oils) and other applications.
APPLIED OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY
We aim to develop tools based on low cost optical instrumentation operating in the visible and NIR regions for the nondestructive analysis of various materials.
